| Check test training |
For qualified ADIs, the checktest looms up with monotonous regularity. Many ADIs have taken advantage of training with Phil Hirst to prepare themselves for their checktest.
Just a few hours spent concentrating on how best to present yourself for the test increases your confidence and ensures you come across to the Examiner in the best possible light.
To achieve a good result, a logical and structured approach is taken. A one-hour assessment of your instructional ability on a normal driving lesson is followed immediately by feedback on your strengths and weaknesses and a two-page written report.
If further training is required, it concentrates on one or more of the following:
- Role-play session(s) to improve your instructing skills and techniques.
- Discussions on core competencies (fault assessment), the checktest form and what the Examiner is looking for from you.
- What sort of pupil to choose and how to structure the Checktest lesson.
- Role-play checktests.
Regardless of whether you have a checktest coming up soon or have recently failed a checktest, training will guarantee better preparation, increased confidence and the knowledge of how best to present yourself to the Examiner.
