ADI Training

Train the Trainer (ORDIT)

Charlotte Payne - Leeds (Jan 2012)
I found the course to be good value for money, structured and thorough with the instructing to a very high standard. I felt I could ask for help at any time, even after my training. I was over the moon to get through my part 3 test first time, which reflects how good the training was.

Kumbahadur Khan - Army (Jan 2012)
As a RLC driver and served in the British Army for 22 years my ambition was to be driving instructor. I decided to use Enhance Learning Credit (ELC) for my driving instructor course. I have searched on the website but I could not find ELC or CTP recognise instructor driving school in near by Aldershot. I have managed to find the AIM (UK) on website, all training packages and useful information and ELC authorised by MoD. I have started my resettlement course as a ADI training from Sep 2011 and completed in Jan 2012. It was very short timing or period than expected.

The training and support, I have received from Phil which was excellent. Phil is a experienced, professional and very friendly ORDIT trainer. His teaching technique and attitude is great, very clear and professionalism. The ADI training 1:1 is very effective and worthy for timing not only for money. I had used Aim4Success. TV website during my training which is very useful for ADI part 3 test and training. I was a first student (Gurkha) and managed to pass my ADI part 3 in short period. All credit goes to Phil, without his effort and hard work it would not been successful.

Kevin Winship - RAF (Jan 2012)
I am still pinching myself! I am now a fully qualified ADI, but this was only possible through your patience, good humour and ultimate professionalism. The training material supplied throughout the course was first rate and backed up by the information on the aim4success.tv website.  Your easy going manner and friendly approach to training helped me greatly throughout the course.  I would have no hesitation in recommending  AIM Instructor Training (UK) to prospective ADI’s.   Thanks again Phil, check test training next.

Laura Raine-Ellerker - Knaresborough (Oct 2011)
I initially started my instructor training with a national driving school where i felt i didnt receive the support i needed. Phil Hirst was recommended to me. I found Phil's support and knowledge invaluable and enjoyed my lessons very much. I believe his help got me through the part 3 test.

Phil Moss - RAF (Oct 2011)
From the beginning, Phil's approach was exceptional, professional and friendly. Almost straight away a good rapport was established, which made for a pleasant learning environment. Undoubtedly, Phil's great coaching skills, knowledge of the subject and amazing study guides and teaching aids were the reason I passed parts 1, 2 and 3 first time.

John Pearce - RAF (Sept 2011)
From the start I found Phil a consummate professional. His overall approach to training was excellent and his comprehensive pack of driving aids was invaluable. I looked forward to each one of his lessons; his friendly persona always put me at ease no matter how much pressure I was under. I particularly felt Phil’s structure to preparing for the part 3 exam was excellent which allowed me to prepare for each lesson.

Through his guidance and a lot of hard work I managed to pass each exam 1st time. I would also strongly recommend Phil’s website www.aim4success.tv. It has got an incredible amount of useful information and tips that help back up and reinforce the practical training. I can’t recommend Phil highly enough, through his experience, guidance, patience and with a good sense of humour I am now a qualified ADI.

Ian Willcock - Army (Aug 2011)
I first approached Phil at Aim Instructor Training (UK) in late 2010 to talk about becoming a driving instructor, 10 months later I passed my part 3 test at the first attempt and became an ADI. The training I received was first class from start to finish, Phil has a relaxed approach to instructing and pitched the training at just the right level for me.
The books, dvd and study guides that came as part of the course were very helpful however it was the on-line resource called Aim4success.tv which gave me the most help along the way. I would fully recommend Phil and AIM Instructor Training (UK) to anyone looking for a career as a driving instructor

Pete Wilkinson - Army (Mar 2011)
From the very first phone call, I felt an air of friendly professionalism from Phil and he stayed that way throughout all 3 parts of the qualification.  The excellent balance of formal training and friendly banter was fantastic and made the 4-hour training sessions seem shorter.  Phil quickly worked out what made me tick and geared his training to suit my style of learning, recognising when I perhaps needed a little more time on a particular PST.

With Phil’s superb attitude to training and relaxed manner, plus the promptly provided training materials for each part, I managed a decent first time pass at Part 3 (Grade 5 and 6); this is undoubtedly due to the preparation work carried out with Phil.  Many thanks to a true gentleman and I look forward to Check Test training".

Darren Lee - Barnsley (Feb 2011)
Thanks Phil for the fantastic training and support which you gave me throughout the three parts of my ADI training. Though I am not a natural student you had a completely professional approach, understood how to get the best out of me and helped me complete my training much quicker than I imagined. Passing parts 2 and 3 first time was a bonus. Thank you once again for your patience and flexibility.

James McNeil - RAF (Jan 2011)
Just wanted to say thanks again for all your help over the last few months getting me through Parts 1, 2 and 3 first time! (Grade 6/5 on part three)  You have a relaxed but professional style which has made the course easy going. This was aided by your Aim4success.tv website which is an extremely useful learning tool and definitely helped me get through my tests at the first attempt.

I've also enjoyed listening to your stories and words of wisdom about previous learner driver experiences and what I may expect in the future - what have I let myself in for!

Tony Richardson - RAF (Nov 2010)
I would just like to thank you for all your help, I know I’m far from perfect but have the basic knowledge and confidence to start this career due to your instruction.

Paul Sayers - Army (Oct 2010)
From initial contact, Phil was very friendly and helpful. All administration was dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner. All the training publications that were provided were more than sufficient to prepare me for all 3 parts of the learning process. The Aim4successTV website is a fantastic training aid and gives a real insight into what is required to pass part 3.

Phil was a constant source of knowledge and support throughout the training process. His professionalism, patience and friendly manner ensured that I was fully prepared and able to pass all 3 parts on my first attempt.

Mudhafar Ridha - Leeds
Before I started my part three training with Phil, I had taken instructor training with a national company. To my astonishment I found that what I knew was little compared to the knowledge that Phil and his team gave me.

The training was invaluable. I learnt all the skills necessary to be confident at passing part three
at the first attempt and with high marks. Well done! Keep producing safe, confident and knowledgeable instructors."

Pauline Rabson - South Coast
You can take it as given Phil that I benefitted enormously from, and greatly enjoyed, my part three tutorials with you.

Mark Chapman - Northallerton
Thank you Phil for helping me fulfil my dream of becoming an ADI. Thank you too for always having faith in me and giving me the belief that I can achieve my goals.

Damian Sidgwick RN - Teesside
96% at part one, two faults at part two and a comfortable pass at part three. Nothing too earth shattering there except Phil managed to turn me in to a fully qualified instructor in double-quick time. Despite lengthy four hour part three sessions being challenging, Phil's attitude and commitment to teaching never faltered. My success is most definitely down to Phil's mammoth efforts to ensure I was ready in all respects for each element of my test.

J E Marshall - Selby, North Yorkshire
I was reading an article written by Phil Hirst in the "Driving Instructor" magazine about the benefits of being ORDIT registered. I felt that this course would improve my position considerably.

From the first phone call to the present day, I have found Phil to be very professional in every aspect of business. I still use course materials that he provided because of their structure and detailed information.

I did not feel under pressure on the course nor was there information overload, even though I undertook the course in a week.

I have subsequently passed the ORDIT inspection at the first attempt and my clients have mentioned they feel my training has improved. I would have no problem recommending Phil to prospective trainers as his approach to training has been outstanding.

Steve Johnson - Wirral

I have been an ADI since 1986 and have been an ADI trainer for a large national company. I decided to spend the week with Phil to refresh and confirm my knowledge.

Part way through the week I found myself beaming with the realisation that I was learning something new every day. Top course Phil... I flew through the ORDIT inspection!
