Phil is AIM (UK)'s principal trainer. He has spent over 35 years in team and individual training and development. He has been an ADI since 1993 and has been training driving instructors (over 500!) since 1995 under the title, AIM Instructor Training (UK).
He started the first ADI Trainer and ORDIT Preparation courses in 2002 and has prepared over 160 ADIs for this role, many of whom have joined the ORDIT Register themselves.
Phil has written many training manuals for those starting their careers, and for qualified instructors including the highly-acclaimed, Teach Driving in 3D. His latest project is www.aim4success.tv, an information, learning and teaching website for prospective and approved instructors and their student drivers.
He is a firm believer in professional development and is currently completing the BTEC level 4 Certificate in Coaching for Driver Development.
Phil was employed as a feature writer by the Driving Instructor's Association under the banner "ADI Training" from 2005-10.
