Phil has spent over 30 years in team and individual training and development. He has been an ADI since 1993 and has been training driving instructors (over 450!) since 1995 under the title, AIM Instructor Training.
He started the first ADI Trainer and ORDIT Preparation courses in 2002 and has prepared over 150 ADIs for this role, many of whom have joined the ORDIT Register themselves.
Phil runs a small driving school in his home town and has written many training manuals for those starting their careers, and for qualified instructors. His latest project is AIM4SUCCESS.TV, an information, learning and teaching website for prospective and approved instructors.
Phil is employed as a feature writer by the Driving Instructor's Association under the banner, "ADI Training".
He holds the following qualifications:

- Diploma in Driving Instruction
- Further and Adult Education Teacher
- ORDIT Principal Trainer (Grade 6)
- ADI (Grade 6)
- Member of RoSPA, DIA and the ADI NJC
